On 15 December 2020 a Columban Priest, Fr. Augustine gave a half day staff recollection at St. Luke’s College Chapel. We started at 9: 00 am and 20 staff participated. It was a good time for the staff to recall individually, prepare for the Christmas and receive new inner energy to work better at St. Luke’s College.
The talk given by Fr. Augustine focused on how to communicate with others joyfully and appreciate wisely. “Words of appreciation is liked not only by human but by animal too! – Shakut shagrau ai ga gaw dusak du hkra kabu pyaw shangun ai” At the end of the talk each staff was given to demonstrate saying a few appreciative words to neighbors in small groups.
After a short tea break each staff was given a cup of clean water and a piece of a written wrapped color paper to put into the cup. As it was placed, it opened up and appeared the appreciative words or a phrase or a sentence.
The recollection led by Fr. Augustine was short and sweet, and was very much touching. All the staffs were satisfied.
