December 13, 2022
St. Luke’s College staff usually gather together twice a year for communal and personal prayer and reflection in June and December. It is a special occasion for the staff to go to a quiet place with the purpose of recollection of graces received and thanksgiving. In keeping the good tradition, SLC staff have the following activity.
On 10 December 2022, We SLC staff spent a full half day in quiet prayer at Nam Jim, St. Mary’s Church. There were 22 participants. The recollection program started with a spiritual talk by Deacon Andrew Lawt Naw at 9:00 am. Then an hour of individual silent prayer time was observed. During individual prayer time, the sacrament of reconciliation was made available. Then Fr. Lawrence presided over the concluding Eucharistic celebration. After the Eucharistic celebration, we had lunch at 12: 00 a.m. which marked the end of the half day recollection. We prayed too for our donors, Columban Fathers, who sponsored the staff recollection.
