On 26 July 2023, St. Luke’s College students customarily celebrated the feast day of St. Joachim and Anna as Thanksgiving Day in honoring their parents. They appreciated their parents by offering gifts and Mass offerings for their well-being.

Fr. Hubert Myo Thant Oo celebrated the Mass of the feast at 6:30 am. At 10:00 a.m. St. Luke’s College students organized a short meeting with all St. Luke’s College Staff. Symbolically, a few SLC students washed the feet of the College Staff, read a poem, sang songs, and expressed their gratitude during the meeting.  Sr. Sylvia Lahpai Seng Tawng blessed the students in a traditional way and wished them well to go ahead in their formation at SLC. Before the meeting ended, the winners in football, composing songs, and poem-writing competitions were awarded prizes.
