Today, on 26 July 2022 SLC students customarily celebrated the feast day of St. Joachim and Anna as the Thanksgiving Day in honoring their parents. They appreciated their parents by offering gifts and Mass offerings for their wellbeing.

Fr. Leo Gopal, Fr. Lawrence Khui Shing, SJ and Fr. Curt Zion Pala, SSC celebrated the Mass of the feast at 6:30 am. Many elderly people and youths from Edin, Jan Mai and Ayemya villages also attended the morning Mass.

At 10:00 a.m. St. Luke’s College students organized a short meeting with all St. Luke’s College Staff. Symbolically, a few SLC students washed the feet of the College Staff, read a poem, sang songs and expressed their gratitude during the meeting.   As an elder and the most senior staff, Mr. N Lam Gam Li blessed the students in a traditional way and wished them well to go ahead in their formation at SLC. Before the meeting end, the winners in football, composing songs and poem writing competitions were awarded prizes. It was a well-organized program and finished at 11:20 a.m.
