A three-day workshop for St. Luke’s College staff conducted by Fr. Amal from 18 to 20 December 2023 was very motivatinal and impressive. The 18 participants were so absorbed in the training and shared their touching personal experiences.

Reviewing the past few years, Observing the needs of the Chucrh in Kachin State in the current situation and planning for the newly built building were the main activities of the training. The staff were actively participated in every discussion, brain storming, and sharing activities. There were some remarkable and motivational quotations for reflection.

• Learning is Change.
• Time is given by God.
• If you don’t change in the learning process, it is a waste of time.
• Faith without action is empty, useless.
• A good christian has a bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other hand.
• Don’t plan without God, without people.
• Things are useful only when there is planning and talents. So as the newly built building.
• Planning to fail is failing to plan. KISS (Keep It Simple and Short)
• WHY? (Purpose of doing is the meaning of life.)
• Fund based planning is NGOs, and Faith based planning is Religious.
• Knowledge is power.
• Good Communicator is super power. 5 tips for communication (Speaking Loudly, Eyes Contact- Speaking with eyes, Body Language, Dancing voice, Being interactive)
• ABCDE (Authority, Baptized Christian, Clergy Center, Devotion, Evangelization)
• Why are you a Christian? (christian.com)
• Reality is many sided, need to see from all angles.
• God is present where there is human suffering.
• We are working for the mission of God, not for the church.
• Social Pastoral is one vision with two eyes.

After the three-day workshop, all the staff are well oriented and energized to go forward in the newly built building.
