The 6th batch of the EAPI Joint-Diploma graduation ceremony was commenced in a hall of newly built On the 20th of March 2024, 65 graduates came together to celebrate their incredible achievement. Among them, 47 were from Myitkyina Diocese, 11 from Banmaw Diocese, and 7 from Lashio Diocese. The ceremony was graced by Bishop Francis Daw Tang (Emeritus), Cardinal Charles Bo, priests, sisters, lecturers, catechists, local faithful, students’ parents, and other honored guests and relatives of the graduating students.
The event began at 9:00 a.m. with a theme song and a modest procession, followed by an opening prayer led by Saya Nhkum Naw Seng, the head of the catechists’ committee. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and encouragement as Fr. Dr. Bernard Dashi Tang, Cardinal Charles Bo, Fr. Dr. Peter Hka Aung Tu, and Bishop Francis Daw Tang delivered inspiring speeches to the graduates.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates and gifts. The students received their certificates, the Holy Bible, and Crucifix necklaces, marking their official recognition as Catechists. Additionally, outstanding students and academic achievers for the years 2022-2024 were honored by Sr. Roi San, the Academic Dean, and the extra curriculum Dean, Sarama Hkawn Ra.
The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer and blessing from the bishops and priests, followed by a joyful celebratory lunch for the special guests. Congratulations to all the graduates on this remarkable milestone!
